This Disclaimer Policy explains the limits of what the I’M SAFE platform can and cannot do. By using the I’M SAFE website or mobile app, you agree to the terms in this policy.

 

1. Not an Emergency Service:

I’M SAFE is not a substitute for police, ambulance, fire or any emergency response service. If you are in danger or facing an emergency, please call 112 or your local emergency number immediately.

The app is designed to help you stay connected and share alerts, but it cannot replace real emergency assistance.

 

2. No Guarantee of Safety

I’M SAFE provides tools to support your safety such as SOS alerts, location sharing and trusted contacts but it cannot guarantee safety, protection, rescue or prevention of harm. Situations outside our control may affect your experience or the availability of the service.

 

3. Feature Limitations

 The performance of the app depends on factors such as:

a. Mobile network

b. GPS accuracy

c. Battery level

d. Internet connection

e. Device permissions

f. Bluetooth connectivity (for BLE tags)

g. Hardware functioning

  Because of these factors, some features may not work at all times or in all locations.

 

4. Information and Awareness Content

Any information, tips or awareness material provided through the app or our safety initiatives (including RUSAFE, MenForWomen and Voice of Courage) is for general awareness only. It is not legal, medical, psychological, counselling or professional advice.

Always consult appropriate professionals or authorities when necessary.

 

5. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

a. Keeping their device charged

b. Ensuring permission settings are enabled

c. Making sure their BLE tag or GPS device is functioning

d. Using the app in a lawful manner

e. Not misusing SOS or safety features

  The Platform is not responsible for outcomes caused by user actions or misuse.

 

6. Third-Party Services and Links:

  The platform may connect to third-party services such as:

a. SMS providers

b. Payment gateways

c. App stores

d. Delivery partners

e. NGO pages

f. External websites or social media

  We do not control or guarantee the accuracy, performance or policies of these third parties.

 

7. Hardware Disclaimer (BLE Tags / GPS Devices)

   Our BLE tags and GPS devices are meant to support safety and presence tracking, but they:

a. Are not surveillance devices

b. Should not be used for spying or illegal monitoring

c. May not work if damaged, out of range, or low on battery

d. Is not a substitute for supervision or professional tracking system.

   The Company is not liable for misuse or improper handling of hardware devices.

 

8. No Warranty on Outcomes

We provide the app and hardware on a best-effort basis. We do not promise uninterrupted service, accuracy of location at all times, or guaranteed delivery of alerts. We do not promise any specific safety result or outcome.

 

9. Legal and Regulatory Disclaimer

All content and services are provided in compliance with applicable Indian laws.
Nothing in the platform should be considered legal advice or a guarantee of legal protection.

 

10. Changes to This Disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer Policy when needed. Changes will be posted on the website/app with an updated date.
