Meeting a friend who isn’t in your Bubble? Share a link for one, three or seven hours. They can follow your shared location without creating an account.
Choose how long.
Open Share live location on iPhone or Android. Keep sharing on, choose one, three or seven hours, then create the link. A fresh location must be confirmed first.
Just you, on their map.
The browser shows your first name, available location, update time and when the link ends. It may show a photo, accuracy and movement. It never opens your Bubble or history.
A temporary Bubble.
When the original supported link opens in the installed I’M SAFE app, it appears as a temporary Bubble for that person. It lasts for the link’s lifetime; it does not add you to their private groups.
You can finish early.
Stop sharing this link ends access for everyone holding it. I’m safe · end sharing sends that specific ending instead. Turning off all location sharing revokes your links.
Time runs out automatically.
Expiry removes the location and says the link ended. It never claims you arrived or are safe. A new link replaces the old one, which stops working immediately.
Privacy, connection and device details
This is a bearer link: anyone it is forwarded to can use it while active. Only the phone that created it can resend the stored link. A tablet can view and stop an existing share, but cannot create one. Watch apps and widgets do not create links.
Your phone needs permission to get location, sharing enabled and a connection to send fresh updates. The recipient also needs a connection. Viewing the link does not ask for their own location, camera or microphone. Last-known or approximate information is labelled; an old location is not proof of where someone is now. The browser hides the map when it cannot confirm the current sharing state.
Opening the app depends on installation and the device’s supported-link settings. The browser’s get-app action is a download route, not a promise that it will transfer a live link into the app. Open the original link again after installation.

It is one of the things people check every day, so it is included for everyone and sits right at the front: one tap on the weather pill shows the hours ahead for that place. Weather asks for your permission once and only ever sends an approximate area, never an exact position.

Consultez la météo là où se trouvent vos proches, directement depuis la carte Bubble. C’est l’une des informations que l’on consulte chaque jour : elle est donc incluse pour tout le monde et placée au premier plan. “Dinner is in the fridge.” Add a short note to a Zone and choose how long it stays. Everyone in that Bubble can read it. Tag someone to direct the arrival reminder to them.
Zone updates need location sharing and fresh location data. Alerts also depend on notification settings.

Encrypted on your phone
Records are protected with AES-256-GCM encryption. Your phone’s secure key storage protects the keys, and device authentication controls access. Your Bubble cannot see your Vault.

Records stay locally on your device. Available with eligible Plus access on iPhone and Android.
How the encryption protects your records
AES-256-GCM encrypts the saved content and checks for altered encrypted data when it is opened. Keys are protected by Apple Keychain on iPhone and Android Keystore on Android. Unlocking requires device authentication.
Protection applies inside Vault. If you choose to export a record, the copy you share with another app is no longer protected by Vault’s encryption.

Read our privacy policyDo I need a Tag or a paid plan?
No. Core sharing and safety tools work in the free app without a device purchase. A Bluetooth SOS Tag adds a physical button and supported finder functions. A Personal Alarm is a separate, standalone siren.
Does Go Private remove my old location?
Go Private stops new location updates for that Bubble. Your last-known information may remain visible with its timestamp. Turning off location or leaving the Bubble stops further live updates.
Why might someone’s location stop updating?
Location updates depend on permissions, background access, battery, phone settings and connectivity. Check the timestamp, battery and signal before treating a location as current.
Can we use different phones?
Yes. The app is available on iPhone and Android. Some features and controls vary by platform: Fake Call is Android only, and Vault is a Plus feature on iPhone and Android.
