Does this alarm need the I'M SAFE app?
No. Both Alarm Classic and Alarm Metal are standalone devices - they do not need the I'M SAFE app, Bluetooth or a smartphone.
How loud is the alarm?
The siren is rated at 135 dB, intended to attract attention in the immediate area.
How is it activated and stopped?
Pull the ring to activate the siren and flashing light. Reinserting the pin stops the alarm.
How is it powered?
Both models are rechargeable over USB-C and include a low-battery alert.
Does it notify trusted contacts?
No. Personal alarms create a local siren to attract attention nearby. They do not automatically message contacts or contact emergency services.
